About 21st Century Cyber Charter School

21st Century Cyber Charter School was founded in 2001 by 64 school districts that saw a need for cyber school, and wanted a school they could ensure offered the highest quality curriculum. Currently, 21st Century Cyber Charter School is the only statewide cyber charter school to achieve Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) for five consecutive years.

Live webcasts, or “virtual classrooms,” allow teachers to provide direct instruction, review instructional materials, and demonstrate how to solve problems. Students interact through a chat room to ask and answer questions and participate in group discussions, and they can speak to the teacher and the class using the built-in microphone. The webcasts are recorded, so students who cannot attend the live event can view it at their convenience.

21st Century Cyber Charter School offers many opportunities similar to a traditional school: National Honor Society, yearbook, literary magazines, clubs, class rings, and a traditional graduation ceremony. The school continues to add new opportunities based on frequent surveys completed by students and their families.
