Alberta Distance Learning Centre Programs

Alberta Distance Learning Centre relies on an instructional model that allows instructor, students, and content to be located in different, noncentralized locations so that instruction and learning can occur independent of time and place. This distributed learning model can be used in combination with traditional classroom-based courses and traditional distance education courses, or it can be used to create entirely virtual classrooms.

Print service offers the flexibility of independent reading of instruction and completion of assignments. Print service is for students preferring printed materials while accessing Learning Centre teachers for assistance.

Online service offers the attraction of using materials on screen to students who prefer working on computers and Internet. Students must have sufficient access to the Internet. Simulating the classroom experience, online programs offer flexibility, various assessment tools and strategies, and frequent student-teacher interaction.
