About Allied National High School

At Allied, students work at their own pace and have up to a year to complete each course. Courses are administered through Blackboard Academic Suite, a popular software program among online colleges. The program enables students to create reminders about upcoming deadlines and assignments, view their grades and read announcements posted on the message board.

Teachers can be contacted via e-mail, phone or discussion boards. For an extra fee, the school also offers an “enhanced support” option, which provides for more frequent contact from teachers and regular progress reports for parents.

Allied National High School Accreditation

Allied is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges and the Distance Education and Training Council. In most cases, students can transfer credits they have earned at Allied to another high school.

Allied National High School Programs

Students in Allied’s diploma program must complete 20 credits to graduate. Most courses are worth one half credit, and can be completed in about 18 weeks. Students may apply credits they have earned elsewhere toward their Allied diploma. A student is considered full-time if he or she enrolls in more than three online classes per semester.

Students who choose the school’s college prep track must satisfy foreign language and elective requirements. Students on the career prep path take courses that focus on job skills in industries like real estate and health care. Allied also offers part-time and summer school.

Allied National High School Admissions

Allied enrolls students year-round. Although students do their coursework independently, new learners who start at the same time are encouraged to interact with one another via an online discussion board. For more information on the school’s admission requirements, contact Allied directly.
