About Georgia Virtual School

Students take courses at Georgia for many reasons: to increase their content choices, relieve scheduling conflicts, get ahead in their course work, or retake a previously failed class, so they can graduate on time. Other students may be home-bound or may have transferred in from other school system and are missing certain required courses.

Georgia Virtual offers courses free of charge to all Georgia public school students who are taking the courses as a part of their state reported school day. A limited number of state funded seats are available to private and home school students in the state. Georgia also offers a tuition program where students can take additional courses to further enhance their course of study or even to catch up if they have fallen behind for some reason.
