About JEDI Virtual High School

The JEDI Virtual School is open to any student who finds limitations with the traditional learning environment. JEDI is a completely non-profit organization funded solely by the school districts in the consortium. Unlike many other virtual high schools, none of the funding received for the operation of JEDI is given to any outside organization.

JEDI offers its students a comprehensive 6-12 curriculum, and uses emerging technologies to offer “live” and on-line instruction. Courses are available and accessible 24 hours a day. The JEDI program may be combined with traditional courses to create a blended learning environment for students.

JEDI learners are guided by a Personal Education Plan. The plan is cooperatively developed by the student, the parent, guidance and/or special education representatives, and a JEDI representative. This planning process gives much more parental control regarding course selection, learning site, and learning pace. A trained learning coach is provided to full-time virtual students to be a consistent guide in the JEDI Virtual School student’s learning. The coach monitors the student’s progress and keeps in close contact with the student via phone, email and even in person visits, if needed.

JEDI Virtual High School Accreditation

JEDI Virtual High School Programs

JEDI offers a variety of curriculum choices for both students who need a single course to enhance their program or those who wish to enroll full time. While the pace of course completion is established by the student, students are given a maximum of five months to complete a half-credit course. Students may complete courses as quickly as they choose, but all work submitted must be of passing quality to ensure a passing grade and credit being earned.
