About Onalaska Virtual School

Onalaska Virtual School curriculum utilizes the OdysseyWare platform to provide a meaningful, online learning experience for school-age students across the United States. The curriculum is easy to use, comprehensive and engaging. Every Onalaska student is assigned a teaching monitor who is directly involved in their progress via email and telephone.

While Onalaska offers the core program required for graduation, students may receive credit for courses taken at home or in their community. In each case the student must document the hours devoted to the subject matter and a parent or guardian must sign off regarding the completion of subject matter. These courses may include but are not limited to: PE, art, music, independent living, keyboarding, and career preparation.

Onalaska holds a graduation ceremony in June, which graduates may attend or they may choose to simply receive their diploma by mail. If students in various parts of the state are interested in getting together for other events supervised by volunteer parents, Onalaska assists in facilitating such activities.
